My Fitness Skin Care Routine

My Fitness Skin Care Routine

One of the things I never really took care of growing up was my skin. When I hit my 30’s I noticed a change in the way my skin responded to the products I was using, make-up and every day life. I was always a soap and water kid and never really understood what products were out there and what was any good.

When skin care UK Panasonic got in touch and asked if I’d write about my go-to skin care routine I figured why not? As a personal trainer I am inside, outside, sweaty, hot, cold and forever in and out of the shower. It isn’t easy to take good care of my skin.

When I first started personal training, I found it difficult to coordinate showers, make-up, gym sessions and clients at the same time. I will also admit I am never brave enough to go to the gym completely make-up free which has its own challenges. Since going freelance I’ve made more of an effort to take care of my skin, especially on my face.

So, I’ve pulled together all the products I use daily to help keep my skin in decent nick whilst leading what can be a crazy busy life as a freelance personal trainer.

The Body Shop

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner

I love this, it smells strong of tea tree but goodness me does it do a fantastic job of clearing off the make up you thought your facewash already had. You only need a small splash on a cotton pad and you’ll be amazed what it clears off your face. I only use this a couple of times a week because I suffer with dry skin and this stuff can irritate how sensitive my face it.

Simple

Kind to eyes soothing eye balm

This is a fresh feeling eye cream that I use before bed, it helps with those tired puffy eyes my 4.30am PT morning wake-ups give me. There’s no strong smell and it absorbs quickly.

Aveeno Cream

Is the only moisturiser I use, made from oats and smells a bit like porridge. I’ve suffered with eczema on my face in the past and this is one of the few products that soothed my skin when it was at its worst.

The Body Shop

Vitamin C Skin Reviver Instant Smoother

This feels like polish for your face, it is light and smells wonderfully zesty. I use this every day before I put my make up on. It helps my foundation spread evenly and you only need to use a tiny amount.

Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask

This gel is strong smelling and works wonders. It feels like putty almost but goes on nice and fresh and dries super quick which when I first felt it, I was worried it would sit heavy on my skin, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. When I wake up in the morning my skin doesn’t have the usual greasy feeling after a night’s sleep which I love about it.

I realised in writing this how much of a Body Shop addict I am and just how many lovely beauty products I use. They’re not the cheapest but often you use such a small amount they last forever. It is nice knowing that with everything I put my skin through I have some products I can rely on every day.

There you have it, my simple and cost effective skin care routine for all you active women out there who need great products to help take care of and revive your skin on a daily basis.
