Get Your Fitness Mojo Back in 3 Steps
We know that it can take that one workout to get you back into the flow of things again, but that's often easier said than done.
The longer we go without exercising, the harder it all seems and you feel frustrated and guilty and that negative feeling starts to impact other areas of your life.
I'm going to share what you can do to switch things up and get yourself out of a training slump and back enjoying your workouts again.
1. Ask yourself why you've not been training? What is it that is stopping you?
There can be lots of reasons why this has happened and its worth digging a little bit deeper, especially if this has happened to you before or keeps happening to you after a few weeks of consistent training. Are you not enjoying your workouts?
Maybe you're struggling for time at the moment?
Have you taken on too many commitments?
Is work crazy busy right now? There is always something that stands in our way but before we can address it, you need to identify what that is.
2. Let it go.
Once you know what has been holding you back recently, you need to park it and let it go. No amount of feeling guilty is going to change anything so we need to make peace with where we're at and let that sh*t go for good.
Holding on to feeling bad can lead to all kinds of other behaviours that will sabotage you even more.
You can't change what has been but you can influence your future self.
3. Make a plan.
Now we need to look at what you can put in place to get you started again, so let's dive into this a little bit by asking yourself the following questions:
Do you need to commit to what days of the week you're training rather than seeing when you can fit them in?
Do you need to shorten your workouts to fit them in a busy schedule?
Do you need more accountability, someone to help keep you on track? Do you need a new training plan if the workouts you've been doing are boring or too easy for you?
It can be easy to think you need a complete fresh start and overhaul every time you lose momentum with your workouts.

Hopefully this shows that all you need to figure out is what went wrong and what you can do to prevent that moving forward.
There are always ways for us to get back on track, no matter how long it has been since your mojo abandoned you!
Good Luck!
